UFC 116 Open Workout – 6-30-2010
This is the first UFC event I have covered. Today UFC 116 held an open workouts in the Marquee Ballroom at the MGM Grand Conference Center on in Las Vegas.
The event started at 12 noon and went till about 2pm.
The following fighters were featured during this light workout:
Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Chris Leben, Krzysztof Soszynski, Stephan Bonnar.
Chris Leben started the workout. He worked up a pretty good sweat as did most of the other fighters. Lesnar was the big draw, never even broke a sweat during todays open workout. He worked on the mat for about 3 minutes and went to the media box for questions.

The UFC 116 is Saturday Night July 3, 2010 at the MGM Grand at 7 PM.
If you are in town on Friday night, July 2, 2010 you may want to catch Tuff-N-Uff. The Future Stars of MMA.
These are the up and coming UFC fighters. This is held at the Orleans Hotel Casino at 7PM.
It’s going to be an exciting weekend of Mixed Martial Arts!
