The Oakland A’s Are Coming To Las Vegas

There’s been chatter for months about the possibility of The Oakland A’s MLB team moving to Las Vegas. The word on the street is, The Oakland A’s and Bally’s Corp. have recently put an agreement in place. Not everyone is happy about the A’s taking over the Tropicana Hotel location! It’s such an iconic location, some people are just hating the idea or possibility.

Personally, I think it’s great! I think it will be great for the city. I think it will bring more tourism, because people just want to see what they are doing with that location. The Tropicana Hotel opened April 4, 1957. That’s over 66 years of tourists, so iconic. There are generations of Tropicana Hotel visitors! Those young kids now dads, bring their kids.

If they implode the Tropicana and actually rebuild a world Class Sporting Event Center, I think it will be awesome for our city and future tourist.

Here are a few bullet points from what I can gather:
* Oakland A’s and Bally’s Corp. form partnership
* $1.5 billion stadium project in Las Vegas.
* State-of-the-art retractable roof stadium with 35,000 seats.

Once again Las Vegas sports and entertainment solidifying Las Vegas as premier destination.

I moved here in 1998, and in a million years, because of gambling, I never thought they could bring a pro sports team franchise here. Though I remember Mayor Oscar Goodman trying to work his magic.
Looks like times are changing. We’ve got the UFC, The Raiders, Aces, Golden Knights! It only makes sense that we finally get a Pro Baseball Team!

Looking forward to seeing how things progress.

A Conversation with UFC’s Bryan Caraway

May 23, 2016 by · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Business, MMA, Sports, Video

Meisha Tate and Bryan CarawayUFC Fighter Bryan Caraway is Hopeful a WIN Over Aljamain Sterling Sunday, May 29, 2016 Will Earn Him a Title Shot!

Make no mistake, this is going to be an exciting fight. With Sterling coming into the fight with a 12-0 record, is presently ranked 4th in the batamweight division. Caraway with a record of 20-8-0 is ranked 8th.

You may know Bryan Caraway from his stint on “ The Ultimate Fighter 14”. He came into the TUF competition with close to 30 fights under his belt. And since TUF 14,  he has put together  a respectable 5-2 record with UFC.

I recently had a insightful conversation with Bryan at his training facility, Xtreme Couture MMA in Las Vegas. And apparently, his opponenet, Aljamain Sterling has been talking crap about Bryan via twitter. As Bryan shared, “ I think it’s going to bite him in the butt!”

Caraway acknowledged that they have similar styles, but added, “I’ve got more experience.” Ask any Musician, Comedian, or Public Speaker, and they will tell you, nothing, absoulutely nothing can replace Stage Time (LIVE EXPERIENCE).

Click To Watch This Video Interview: This is just 4 minutes from a 20 minute interview.

So when Bryan said “I’ve got more experience”, this is no joke. He has logged over 40 fights in his career and 85% of all his wins were by SUBMISSION! You can’t get that kind of grappling experience and mastery without a lot of LIVE FIGHT experience. LIVE Fights give you experience you can not get in the gym.

As  we were chatting, I got this strong feeling about Bryan…It hit me. This is Bryan Caraway’s time. This is his time to make the comitted run and CAPTURE the UFC Batamweight Championship Belt! Yes Sterling is young, strong and scrappy, but when it’s your time, NOTHING CAN STOP YOU!

Caraway shared that for his first  30 fights he got so nervous he would throw up before the match.

Guess What? Bryan’s not throwing up any more, he has learned to discipline that emtion.
Now, he’s KICKING ASS!
