The union that represents the 71 Las Vegas city marshals employees announced Monday it has approved concessions that will save more than 20 of its members’ jobs and more than $900,000 in taxpayer dollars.

The Las Vegas City Council approved a local developer’s vision for revitalizing the eastern end of Downtown. The proposed project, called the Las Vegas Gateway Center, includes plans for nearly 10 acres of shopping, dining, and entertainment located at Fremont Street and eastern.
