IMMAF 2015 Day 4: Some Fighters Feel There Have Been Some Early Stoppages.
Master Referee Extra-Ordinare Marc Goddard talks about the role of the referee, specifically at the amateur levels. Yes, at times amateur fighters feel they got cheated because of an early stoppage. However, as Marc Goddard explains, at the amateur level of competition, it’s all about fighter safety.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson Wins Ultimate Fighter Finale!
Roy “Big Country” Nelson knocked out Brendan Schaub to win the
Ultimate Fighter Finale and Six Figure Contract with the UFC. Schuab
had a few good punches but it wasn’t enough to hold off Roy.
Roy took Brandan down then Brandan got back to his feet. Then
seemingly out of nowhere Roy “Big Country” Nelson knocked him down
with a hard right and finished him with a left to the face. The referee
stepped in and stopped the fight.
Form the very beginning of this season’s Ultimate Fighter show,
Dana White was very outspokeen about not a big fan of Roy Nelson.
Well surprise, surprise!
