Carlos Barbosa-Lima performed a magical Classical Guitar concert at UNLV, Doc Rando Recital Hall, October 20, 2010.

Carlos was born in 1944 in San Paulo, Brazil. He started studying the guitar at age 7 and made his concert debut 5 years later. Carlos was also a student of the late great Classical Guitar Master, Andre Segovia.

The late Frank Hasslebacher, the guitar luthier for Augustine Guitars was the first to introduce me to the music of Carlos Barbosa-Lima’s. I met Frank when I was about 12 years old. He repaired one of my guitars and gave me one of Carlos’s recordings. I never had the opportunity until this evening to see and meet Carlos. It was an honor.

Here is a brief interview I had with the maestro after his brilliant performance.

Check out this interview…Yup! He’s an entertainer too!

Can’t wait to hear his new album!  If you are a country music fan go to his website and check him out! http://NathanOsmond.com
