Nancy Dickinson WINS Her Age Group in Local Las Vegas Triathalon
Las Vegas Personal Trainer and and Ranked Triathlete Nancy Dickinson WINS Her Age Group in the Leadman Tri Vegas Triathalon Saturday March 31, 2012.
Nancy Dickinson, the Las Vegas based personal trainer and triathlete came in 5th place over all in this grueling triathalon which took place at the Boulder Beach in the Lake Mead National, in Boulder City Nevada.
THE LEADMAN TRI VEGAS TRIATHALON:
Swim – 1.55 Miles
Bike – 68 Miles
Run – 8.1 miles
TRIATHALONS ARE NOT FOR EVERYBODY!
Triathalons test every aspect of your being. Triathalons test your Conditioning, Strength, Training and most importantly your Mental Toughness. A triathalon will test the core of who you are and what you believe. Every race has it’s own challenges and this race on Saturday was no different!
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON THIS RACE DAY, WIND:
During the race, the winds were blowing at 30 mph which made is not only VERY challenging but EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to all the racers involved. When you have athletes that weigh 110 – 140 pounds, with winds upward of 30 mph, the winds can and does blow racers all over the place. I was told a number of accidents had accured due to the high winds.
Nancy Dickinson has been participating in triathalons since 2008. I have always been curious about why any person starts diligently working on their health. For Las Vegas Triathlete Nancy Dickinson, she broke her back in a car accident in the year 2000.She worked her way back to walking, swimming, biking and then on too competing in Marathons and Triathalons all over the country. She leads a TEAM that runs the Las Vegas Marathon every year.
She has a loyal following and client list. I’m proud and honored to say, Nancy Dickinson is my personal trainer. She taught me how to swim and trained me for a recent half marathon. She ROCKS! Also, Brooks Running Shoes have recently stepped to be her shoe sponsor.
Later this month Nancy Dickinson goes to Boston Massachuseetes to run in the famous Boston Marathon! Let’s all wish her GOOD LUCK!
