Las Vegas News Blog – Robby LeBlanc Shares His Opinion
Re: Frank Marino’s Divas Show in Las Vegas…

The World’s Biggest and Most Outrageous Drag Show…
Starring Frank Marino as Joan Rivers and an All-Start Cast of Female Impersonators.

I moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and the Frank Marino show was one of the first shows I had heard about. At the time, the idea of seeing a Las Vegas Show starring an All -Star cast of Female Impersonators was not my idea of a good time. I had absolutely zero interest in seeing a show.

Fast forward 13 years! Boy have I changed!

I can’t believe I’ve been in this town over 13 years and never saw Frank Marino’s show, the longest running headline show in Las Vegas.

I now know why he has the longest running headline show in Las Vegas…
Frank Marino is BRILLIANT!

When a show opens, it should open with a big splash full of wow! For me, the wow wasn’t there in the opening act. I remember thinking, this is going to be a long night.

Then…Frank Marino took the stage…
All I can say is WOW!

From the moment Frank Marino started talking to his very last good night, he had my full attention.

The people at my table, laughed, cried, started to dance and laughed some more.

This is great Entertainment!

Frank Marino acts as the emcee Joan Rivers, and he introduces his famous friends to the stage. Including Britney Spears, Cher,  Diana Ross, Beyonce Madonna, Dolly Parton, Celine Dion and Liza Minelli…

Yes, they are ALL female impersonators! But as I saw them perform, I found myself getting lost into thinking these were the real performers! It was an incredible experience.

When Cher came on the stage the crowd went crazy. As we were watching Cher perform, all of us at the table kept thinking, that can’t be a man…

Then Frank Marino comes out and says to he crowd, ” I don’t know where he hides it either!” The crowd roared with laughter!

Frank is quick on his feet and goes through many elegant wardrobe changes.Yes, he gets a little raw and dirty, but he is as funny as anyone I have ever seen. My stomach hurt from laughing so much!

NO Photo’s Please…NOT!

Frank actually tells the crowd they can take photos!
This is the only show that I have ever seen in Las vegas in which they allow you to take photos during the show. No video, just photos…

Folks, if you have not seen Frank Marino, you owe it to yourself to go! This is entertainment at it’s best! Comedy, Music, a little Dancing and more Comedy!

The crowd gave them a well deserved standing ovation.

Think about it for a moment, what is the purpose of entertainment? The purpose of entertainment is to take audiences on an emotional journey that allows them to forget all the daily crap and problems going on in their lives.

If you are a serious church going, no swearring, no talking about sex type of person, the show may offend you a bit. Then again, if you are in Las Vegas, it’s ok to get a little naughty once a year. Go to confession and ask for forgivness.

For 75 Minutes, Frank Marino’s Diva’s Show will wisk you away on a fun filled excursion that will make you laugh, cry and tap your foot like there is no tomorrow.

I am so sorry I did’nt see his show 13 years ago…
I am now a HUGE Fan! You are Da Man Frank! Thank you for a great show!

Now Go Book Your Tickets !

P.S .  In case you’re wondering…I don’t get paid a dime for referring you to his show. We went as a last minute invite and we are so glad we did!

Defending The Caveman, Las Vegas - by Robby LeBlanc
I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!

Kevin Burke stars as the narrator for this one man show
“Defending The Cavemen”  at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas.

I had heard about this show for a few years but never got around to attending until Saturday night. I am so glad we went.

A friend called me and said she had 4 tickets for “Defending The Caveman”
show and wanted to know if I was interested. I asked if it was family friendly and she said it was great for couples. I thought great. My parents are in town so Vickie and I would take them to the show.

You’ve seen him on Oprah, America’s Funniest People…
Funny man/Comedian Kevin Burke walks out on the stage, his living room, and starts to tell the story of man and woman. Bottom line men are hunters and women are gathers. What I like about Kevin Burke is, he reminds me of the guy next door you’d have a beer with and he’d tell a few funny stories. I felt like I was in his living room, having a beer while he told the funny story of Man and Woman.

Yes, men and women are different. The way we shop, the way we eat, the way we interact with our friends. Men and women are different. Kevin hits on many topics including sex! Yes, men and women want different things!

At one point during the show I was laughing so hard I could not breath. I looked up at my dad and he was laughing right along with me.

You know, laughing is good for you. Laughing with those you love is even better. This past year has been a pretty challenging year and to have the love of my life, Vickie Pieper my dad and his new bride all together laughing, giggling and high fiving each other during a show is a beautiful thing. What a great memory to have.

Kevin Burke, “Thank You” for putting on such a great show. We laughed. We cried. Then laughed some more. We continued to talk, laugh and cry about the show the next day!

I would say this show is probably best suited for couples, but funny is funny, and Kevin Burke is funny.Guys, this is a good date night date. Ladies, bring your man whether he wants to go or not. Make him have fun with you! You’ll be glad you did.

Show times are 3 p.m. daily with additional Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7 p.m. Tickets for the 3 p.m. show are $34.95 for day show and $39.95 for evening shows. Guests must be 13 years of age or older to attend. For reservations call  (702) 597-7600

Where Were You September 11, 2001?I was in the shower when my
girlfriend yelled to me, “Robby I think we’re being attacked!” At first I
thought she was joking and then I got out of the shower and saw the TV set.

As I sat down on the bed to watch, the second plane crashed intot the
twin towers. I will never forget that horrific day.

The Video below is a project I did while attending film school at CCSN
in Las Vegas. I wrote the music and lyrics for this video. It’s called “Pass It On”….

Watch the video and then say a prayer for all the fireman, police and
everyone that tried helping on that day that died whilwe servering
the people. These are real heroes.

Please leave a comment…
Have a Blessed Day,
