UFC’s Jon Jones Cain’t Stay Out Of Trouble
Jon Jones Is A Great Fighter. However…
However, Jones he still has some growing up to do. He just got arrested this week and received 5 tickets from the police. At this point in his life, and specifically because of his Hit and Run incident September 2015 that landed him with 18 month probation and 76 hours of community service, he should’ve learned a few things:
1. Yes, people and police are watching you and probably holding you to a higher standard. Is that fair? No! But life isn’t fair.
2. If you get pulled over by the police for WHATEVER REASON, yes ask what the charge is. Evaluate if it’s true or not. If it’s not true, it doesn’t not serve YOU or your cause in any way to SWEAR, TALK CRAP and or ARGUE with the police officer.
You have money and you have an attorney. Don’t argue with the police, let your attorney do your arguing. Read more
MMA Fighter Jon Fitch Is Fighting For WSOF Welterweight Title!
Last Week I Interviewed The Amazing MMA Fighter, John Fitch at www.OneKickGym.com.
Jon Fitch is a seasoned and well rounded fighter who still aspires WINNING the Welterweight Title Belt that has eluded him over the years. Jon was originally scheduled to fight Jake Shields for the vacant welter weight title but that fell through. Now, Fitch is competing for that TITLE BELT with a new opponent, the Brazilian, Joao Zeferino.
Fitch wrestled in high school and college then continued his journey by competing as an amateur with the Las Vegas Based Promotion, TUFF-N-UFF. Many fighters got there start with TUFF-N-UFF like Ronda Rousey, Ryan Couture and many others. Jon Fitch continued his fight career with the UFC and now he’s fighting with World Series of Fighting, aka WSOF and fighting for the TITLE. Jon trains and is an instructor at Nick Blomgren’s One Kick Gym in Las Vegas.
Good Luck Jon!

Runnin’ Rebels Prepare for Lobos Without Ben Carter
by Morgan Evens – February 1, 2016
The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels prepare to take on the New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque Tuesday a 5:00 p.m. without the assistance of junior forward Ben Carter.
Saturday night against the Aztecs Carter left midgame with a knee injury; Monday it was announced that Carter had torn his left anterior cruciate ligament, and would be out for the rest of the season.
Missing Carter’s leadership the Rebels fell down to the Aztecs, 67-52, now 13-9 for the season, and No. 7 in the Mountain West Conference.
“We are very disappointed for Ben,” interim coach Todd Simon said. “He was obviously an impact player for us, but more than that he is a pillar of our program with his toughness, spirit and leadership. It is a huge loss for our team.”
The Rebels ended the night shooting, 22-60, 37% from the field and grabbing only 27 rebounds compared to the Aztec 44.
With Carter out and byes at stake for the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament it will be every players job to step-up.
“It’s a good thing for everybody to be able to step-up in the leader role, and know that we need him (Carter) and he’s always there to support,” freshman forward Stephen Zimmerman Jr. said.
Zimmerman Jr. ended the night with a double-double, scoring 14 points and earning 10 rebounds.
With the second half of Mountain West Conference games beginning the Rebels will have to persevere and make strong improvements if they want a chance to move on post conference.
