Understanding Obamacare – HELP!!!

Local Las Vegas Attorney Bob Massi put on a seminar Wednesday evening, May 22, 2013 at the Oquendo Center called “Understanding Obamacare”.

Bob Massi, a TV Personality, Author, Spekaer and Legal Analyst for FOX News has been in Las Vegas practicing Law since 1975. He has seen all the changes in Nevada over the years. Obamacare is another change…a HUGE CHANGE!

Love it or HATE it, Obamacare is here and it will effect everyone to some degree or another. There were about 150 people in the audience listening to Robert Massi and one of his insurance associates filter thru the “Obamacare Plan”. (I got to the seminar late and didn’t get his associates name.)

A FEW KEY POINTS:
* Check and see if your currrent insrance plan is grand fathered in.
* Does it have a renewal date?
* Businesses with 50+ employees are required to provide health insurance for their employees.
* 2 Part Time employees equals 1 full time employee.

The United States Treasury Department will be verifying income and the the Department of Defense will be doing some sort of background checks…

BOTTOM LINE…
 It’s going to get MESSY and CONFUSING for quite some time. When all these new policies start rolling out people are not going to know where to turn for accurate information. From the comments I heard from audience members, they are highly concerned because they have already heard other “SO CALLED” insurance professionals talking about Obamacare when they really don’t know what they are talking about.

If insurance professionals don’t really understand how this is going to work, the regular person on the street has NO Chance!

With that being said…I found this seminar on “Understanding Obamacare” to be very informative. Bob Massi’s insuance associate clearly has a thorough understanding of Obamacare, not only for indivuals but also for employers as well.

You can jump for joy or yell and scream all you want about Obamacare but the fact is, YOU NEED TO GET EDUCATED! You need to find out how this will effect YOU and YOUR family. Ignorance is not bliss, it usually cost you money! Lot’s of money!!!
