Interview With Kipp Kollar – President of NAGA
Robby LeBlanc Interviews Kipp Kollar, the President of NAGA, The North American Grappling Association at a Recent Event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Grappling, Wrestling, Karate and Kung Fu have been around for hundreds of years. However with the rise in popularity with MMA, (Mixed Martial Arts) and specifically because programs like ” The Ultimate Fighter, UFC, World Series of Fighting, Bellator and other similar type of venues, this has helped to catapult the fighting arts into main stream.
Kipp Kollar started NAGA about 20 years ago in New England because there were not any places to compete. Now Kipp and NAGA are doing about 65 shows in 5 different countries a year!
Some of the best fighters in the world have competed on the NAGA Mats. They include, Kenny Florian, Forrest Griffin, Matt Serra, Joe Lauzon, Mike Brown, Tim Sylvia and others.
As I found out during this interview, 5 years ago most of the people competing in the NAGA Events were adults. Now, hundreds of kids, as young as 3,4 and 5yrs old are competing! It’s EXCITING To WATCH!
