The bread factory located on Nevada State and Constego Dr. in Henderson enables pigeons by providing them with food. After dinining in the bakery parking lot, the little dirty devils fly over to the swimming pool at the Liberty at Paradise subdivision to drink.

The bread factory hired a company, “Bio-lab” to eradicate the pigeons that fall in the neighborhood and one day I had the mispleasure of seeing one struggle in front of our home. Shortly afterwards, a truck from bio-lab came by to collect the dearly departed.

I spoke with this bio-lab employee who explained to me how the pigeons wait patiently atop the roofs of the houses that overlook the parking lot where the bread trucks are parked until they can seize an opportunity to feast.

While I applaud the bread bakery for their efforts to get rid of the diseased flying rats, this has been a problem even when the builder, K.B. Home owned the vacant property. Now that there are houses on the land, the sidewalks and driveways have bird droppings, loose feathers and decaying roof tops because of this ongoing problem. In addition, there are dead birds laying around for the children to play with.

What a mess!
